Low-carb Baked Goods
Myliana is dedicated to crafting exquisite low-carb celebration cakes, desserts, bread, and ice-cream using traditional baking techniques. We take immense joy in the art of baking, but our ultimate happiness comes from knowing that you relish our creations while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Our Journey
Myliana was born out of a passion for creating delectable, low-carb baked goods. The idea took root when our founder discovered the joy of baking while exploring healthier alternatives. Myliana is a place where we break free from traditional norms and definitions to lovingly craft bakery delights that cater to your well-being.
Meet Our Team
Mylie + Ana = Myliana
Together with her daughter Adrianna, Mylie traveled to Toronto in the summer of 2022 to visit her friends. Adrianna, affectionately known as Ana, was born in Hong Kong and had not visited any places beyond Hong Kong until this trip. During their stay, Ana developed a strong affinity for Canada, appreciating its natural beauty, multicultural environment, and the joy of being with her new friends here.

Mylie has had a passion for baking for decades, beginning in her teenage years. However, the need to earn a living had distanced her from this passion. With Ana's newfound love for Canada and its reputation for excellent education, Mylie decided that attending school in Canada would be the best path for Ana. This decision prompted Mylie to consider re-educating herself to start a new chapter in her life, although she was initially unsure about what field to pursue.
A friend of Mylie had recommended Ken, a freelance compassionate education and career advisor known for helping people choose their educational and career paths. Ken has developed his own method, called ITSOS, which stands for Interest, Talent, Social Responsibility, Opportunity, and Salary.
After discussing Mylie's passions and educational background, Ken strongly recommended that she enrol in the Baking and Pastry program at George Brown College in downtown Toronto. Fortunately, Mylie was able to secure a spot in the program, which began in September 2023. She will graduate as a professional baker in Summer 2024.
Ken
Ken has been a passionate enthusiast of baked goods for decades, always starting his mornings with bread and tea, and enjoying bread and cakes in the afternoon. However, since his diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes in Summer 2020, he has had to significantly alter his beloved dietary habits.

Now he has to avoid high-carb foods, which has been a source of frustration and unhappiness. In his quest for alternatives, Ken discovered low-carb bakery products that do not spike glucose levels. This inspired him to consider establishing a bakery offering low-carb products for diabetics, pre-diabetics, and those watching their calorie intake.

Being a serial entrepreneur for nearly three decades, planning and opening such a bakery is not a significant challenge for Ken. Although he lacks baking skills, he thought of Mylie, a passionate baker. After a brief conversation, Mylie and Ken realized they shared the same vision. Without hesitation, they decided in 2024 to establish the first online bakery, which is planned to open in the summer of 2025, right after Mylie graduates from her diploma program at George Brown.

As for the bakery's name, Ken quickly came up with "Myliana," a combination of Mylie and Ana. The name was chosen a year before the bakery's planned opening.

They are not Mylie and Ana. This is just for illustration only.
